Mardra & Reggie Thomas in Concert

Missouri Botanical Gardens “Celebrate the Gospel”

St. Louis’ own Mardra Thomas is the featured vocalist this year at Missouri Botanical Gardens “Celebrate the Gospel” - Sunday February 8th at 3P.M. in the Shoenberg Theater. What a celebration this will be. Mardra returns this year with world class pianist Reggie Thomas and they are joined by Guitarist Rick Haydon, Bassist John King and Drummer Marty Morrison. This event has been celebrated for the past 20 years, but this year’s observance of Black History Month in the Gardens will lend an even deeper sense of honor and pride as we welcome our first African-American president Barack Obama. You will experience the foundation of the wealth of riches Negro Spirituals have given this nation, on through decades of gospel music that have framed our history throughout modern day and into contemporary favorite songs praise. Seating is on a first come-first serve basis. Regular Admission applies. 4344 Shaw Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63110 (314) 577-5100 /events hotline: (314) 577-9400 - 1-800-642-8842 www.mobot.org
